Advocacy in Darlington currently provides the following services:
- One to one advocacy support for people with learning disabilities.
- Self and peer advocacy for people with learning disabilities.
- One to one advocacy for people experiencing a range of mental illnesses/distress.
- One to one advocacy for people in residential and nursing care.
- Advocacy support for children with complex needs.
- Advocacy support for looked after children.
- Advocacy for older people.
- Advocacy for people accessing Direct Payments.
- Specific developing service for women.
- Advocacy volunteering opportunities for people who use services.
- Employment opportunities for people who use services or who have used services in the past.
- Therapeutic earning opportunities for people who are not ready for full time work.
Types of Advocacy range from Representational to peer, from citizen to self-advocacy and we also support groups of Adults.
